FSQ Challenge -- "STATE YOUR CASE"
- Select a state(s), or territory as the focus of your quilt.
- Red, white, and blue fabrics must be included in your design
- Quilt must be square or rectangular, 35"-45" on a side, to be included in the AQS Ultimate Guild Challenge. These quilts must be turned in on March 2, 2009
- Quilts of other sizes or shapes, or wearables, etc., may be entered in the challenge, but will not be eligible for the Ultimate Guild Challenge. These other quilts and articles may be turned in at the regular quilt turn-in day. See detailed rules.
Bloomin' Challenge -- Paisley Blooms
- Contestants must complete an application form to receive a packet containing three fat quarters of fabric.
- Each of the fabrics must appear on the front of the quilt in a recognizable amount. The fabric may appear in the binding, but the recognizable amount must be present in the quilt top. Main judging criteria: Use of fabric, creativity and workmanship.
- The maximum perimeter of a quilt or quilted wall hanging is 160". Quilts and wall hangings may be any shape. Wearable items may be any size. See detailed rules
