Every year on the third weekend in January, Friendship Star Quilters Guild sponsors a retreat where quilters can sew 24/7, get to know other quilters, learn from each other, and if desired, get pampered with a massage. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax and explore creative potential.

2012 Retreat

FSQ 2012 "Quilters Unsupervised" Weekend

We are pleased to announce FSQ's 14th annual sewing retreat, a fun gathering of Quilters Unsupervised. We will be returning to Bon Secours Spiritual Center in Marriottsville MD, which has beautiful facilities including a conference room (our sewing space) with natural light coming from windows on two sides. Treat yourself to a long weekend without the distractions of home. Bring your sewing machine and projects you want to work on and Sew! Sew! Sew! If you so chose, you may also sign up for a chair or full body massage with one of the massage therapists who will be on hand much of the weekend. Enjoy the company of other quilters and receive inspiration and guidance from fellow FSQ members.

When:	Friday, January 20, 2012  1 p.m. until                             Sunday, January 22, 2012 5 p.m.
Where:	Bon Secours Spiritual Center (BSSC) Marriottsville, Maryland (about 2 miles north of I70 and Rt. 40 on Marriottsville Road)                http://www.bonsecoursspiritualcenter.org/
Cost:	$290.00  per person, single occupancy $200.00 per person, double occupancy (room has ONE double bed to share and you must arrange for roommate)
Schedule of Payments	Registration begins at May Meeting. $50.00 Deposit due at registration Balance Due October 3, 2011 ($240 Single; $150 Double)
Includes:	Two nights lodging, six meals and snacks. One full and two partial days of sewing. Friday night opening activity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To register, please completely fill out the attached form (MSWord or PDF)and send it along with a deposit of $50 by check made payable to FSQ. You may turn in the form and deposit to Patty or Roma at the FSQ meetings or mail it to Patty Estey, 18941 Dairy Rd, Montgomery Village, MD 20886. The deposit is nonrefundable unless you can get a replacement. We can take a maximum of 36 and we will maintain a wait list. The balance must be paid no later than the October meeting - October 3rd, 2011 due to our contractual obligations with the Center. More detailed information, including directions to BSSC and activity schedules, will be provided after January 1st.
