Every year on the third weekend in January (Martin Luther King weekend), Friendship Star Quilters Guild sponsors a retreat where quilters can sew 24/7, get to know other quilters, learn from each other, and if desired, get pampered with a massage. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax and explore creative potential.

FSQ 2009 Independent Study Weekend – Returning to Bon Secours!

We are pleased to announce the 11th FSQ Independent Study Weekend will be returning to Bon Secours Spiritual Center in Marriottsville MD. This year sewing continues through Sunday Evening meal. Bring your sewing machine and projects you want to work on and Sew! Sew! Sew! Treat yourself to a long weekend without the distractions of home. Enjoy the company of other quilters and receive inspiration and guidance from fellow FSQ members. Bon Secours has beautiful facilities including an exercise room and TV room. The conference room has windows on two sides and overlooks a pond with an island.

When:	Friday, January 16, 2009  1 p.m. until                             Sunday, January 18, 2009 7 p.m.
Where:	Bon Secours Spiritual Center (BSSC) Marriottsville, Maryland (about 2 miles north of I70 and Rt. 40 on Marriottsville Road
Cost:	$279.00  per person, single occupancy $205.00 per person, double occupancy (room has ONE double bed to share and you must arrange for roommate) Group Rate pricing is guaranteed until April 8, 2008.
Schedule of Payments	Registration begins at April 7 Meeting. $60.00 non-refundable Deposit due at registration Balance nonrefundable Due October 7, 2008 ($219.00 Single,   $145.00 Double)

Registration forms are here and will be available at the April meeting. Turn in the form and $60.00 deposit check made out to FSQ to Mary Moore Payne at FSQ meeting or mail it to her. Her address is in the FSQ directory.
We must have a minimum of 20 people registered by the April 7 meeting and paid in full by the October 6 guild meeting due to our contractual obligations with the Center. If the minimum is not met, FSQ reserves the right to cancel the weekend and return your deposit. We can take a maximum of 37. We will maintain a wait list.
All funds are non-refundable unless you can provide a replacement FSQ member.
