Friendship Star Quilters, Inc., meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:30pm at

Most meetings feature a guest speaker.  See below for calendar of scheduled speakers.

Workshops with the guest speaker are held the Sunday before the meeting at the Potomac Community Center 11315 Falls Road, Potomac, MD, 240‑777‑6960. Map Quest Link to the Potomac Community Center

Workshops meet from 9am to 4pm. To enroll in a workshop complete the registration form(PDF or Word) and bring to the next FSQ meeting with your payment or mail to FSQ, c/o Coralyn Colladay, 9631 Dewmar Lane, Kensington, Maryland 20895. Mark your envelope with "WORKSHOP REGISTRATION".  Costs are $40 for FSQ members, $50 for non-members.

August 6: Kim Fess and Rebecca Heinze, Too Quirky Quilters, “Our Quilting Journey.”  

September 9 Workshop: "Piping Hot Curves–Macaroni" This workshop will be held at Clara Barton Community Center.

September 10: Susan K Cleveland, Lecture: "Eclectic Quilt Pageant.” 

September 30 : Workshop: "Stencilscape-Frost Farm " with Jackie Paton at the Potomac Community Center. To register for this class please contact Nancy Colladay 301-530-1872.

October 1: Jackie Paton, Lecture: "Trunk Show-From Past to Present." Class Sample

November 5: Raffle Quilt Workshop–Paper Piecing with Lois Smith. Workshop will start at 6:00pm at the Church of the Nazarene. There will be a break from 7:30-8:00 for a business meeting. Workshop will continue until 9:30pm. No charge for FSQ members, $10.00 for non-members.

March 3: Karen Combs, Lecture: "You Bought That Where??" FSQ Pictures and Karen Combs Pictures

April 7: Show and Tell and Tell and Tell.  How do your friends make these great quilts?  Some technique demonstrators may also be on hand.

April 25-27: Quilt Show.

May 4: Workshop: "Appliqué with Rose M Hahn-Pansies and Anemones"

May 5: Rose M Hahn, Lecture: "Painting With Fabrics." Class Sample
